MAD RIVER-Nothing much happening here yet, but there should be some fish starting to poke around in the estuary in the not so distant future.
ROGUE RIVER, Lower-Started off good here last week for kings, but then the action slowed over the weekend. The catch has been mostly kings and jacks, with some silvers also making their way in to the mix. Trolled anchovies with green spinner blades …

ROGUE RIVER, Lower-If the past means anything, conditions look similar to a few other years over the past decade in which we had a big push of jumbo kings through the lower river in September. If that’s the case, we’ve got some screaming hot action to come near Gold Beach. Get those anchovy spinner rigs or cutplug herring ready to go!
